ABOUT US
The Drum Head Academy is the Midlands largest Drum School. Bringing Drum Education to a part of Ireland that lacked such facilities. The Academy was founded in 2022 by Dylan McCormick Moran and is dedicated to making drum education accessible to all aspiring musicians in the region.

Dylan McCormick Moran
"For me Drumming was an outlet I needed to express myself. Growing up in the midlands, the facilities that was necessary to foster growth in young Drummers wasn't there. So I travelled to Dublin for my Drumming education.

I studied Drums with the incredible Mark Grist and completed all 8 Rockschool Drum Grades with Distinction. My passion for Drumming led me to gig throughout the country and record for major record labels.
​
At the age of 18 I became all Ireland Champion and with a focus on founding a Professional Drum School became officially registered as a teacher with RSL Awards. Through my reach on Social Media I have received support from industry leading brands such as Vater Percussion,
Cympad and Audix"

Originally established as a clothing brand catering specifically to drummers, Drum Head has evolved into a thriving academy. With a passion for both drumming and education, Dylan recognized the need for a comprehensive drum school in the Midlands.
